Gilchesters Organic Rye Grain has a low gluten content but high in fibre, vitamin E and potassium to name a few! The grains are of bread making quality, suitable for home milling. Rye kernels make good eating with their heavy, slightly sweet and almost fruity flavour. They are excellent added to soups and stews, especially those made with ingredients such as venison, beetroot, smoked meat or red cabbage. Rye kernels also make a great salad base and team well with dill, plain or smoked salmon, red berries, yogurt and buttermilk.
