Einkorn Grain

Einkorn is the ancient cereal, the first cultivated grain which predates Emmer and Spelt. Einkorn was found in Neolithic sites in Turkey and gives us a little window into the history of farming and bread baking. We gently stone-grind the Einkorn flour and it delivers tremendous flavour and a high nutritional density. Add a little at a time to your trusted recipe.

*please note, this Einkorn was grown under organic principles re. no chemical inputs but the grower is not signed up to an official organic accreditation. 

Storage

Please store all grains and flour cool, away from heat and sunlight. Once opened keep the bags tightly folded up.

NB Our grain goes through a cleaning process, however we cannot guarantee that there will not be traces of other seeds which are natural in the organic farming process. The heirloom varieties like Einkorn and Emmer have currently small black seeds in them which are difficult to remove. Those are vetch seeds – very important for improving fertility in the organic system and completely fine for human consumption
